mission Grants
Mission Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations, schools, groups, and teams (not individuals). If your organization is working to empower children through play, sports, or activities that build teamwork and community, we encourage you to apply.
To be considered, complete the application form below. You'll be asked to describe your organization, the project or program you're proposing, funding amount requested, and how your work reflects EJNF's mission. If you have supporting materials, photos, documentation, or attachments, you may submit those separately to elizajnortonfoundation@gmail.com. We accept applications on a rolling basis and review twice yearly in October and March.
Play it Forward Scholarship
EJNF has established a new scholarship fund, Play it Forward, in loving memory of our friend David Pearlman. Conceived from David's incredible generosity and desire to give all kids a chance to play and thrive, we aim to provide access to sports and other activities for kids in need. We will accept applications from individuals and families on a rolling basis throughout the year. Requests can be made in any amount up to $1,000 per child. EJNF will review and make decisions on award recipients twice per year - January 15th and August 15th to award the scholarships. We will prioritize families for whom cost is a hardship, and who embody Eliza’s spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, kindness, and fierce determination.
Play with Heart hockey scholarship
The Eliza J. Norton Foundation (EJNF) is pleased to distribute $10,000 in scholarships to East Coast Wizard Hockey Program (ECW) players each season. $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to up to five ECW players for whom tuition is a hardship, and who embody Eliza's spirit of teamwork, fierce determination, and her love of hockey.
